Victor Ojeah
Victor Ojeah is Legal Counsel at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF), where he provides legal and technical advisory services with a focus on sovereign finance, sovereign debt management, projects and infrastructure development across Africa. He joined the ALSF in December 2024.
With over seven years of legal experience spanning leading international law firms in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Victor has advised sovereigns, multilateral organizations, funds, and financial institutions on a wide range of cross-border financing and capital market transactions. His expertise encompasses international finance, sovereign bonds, commercial contracts, and public international law, with a dedicated emphasis on fostering sustainable economic development in African nations.
Victor is admitted to practice law in New York and Nigeria. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Benin and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School, where he specialized in international finance and sovereign debt. During his time at Harvard, he engaged deeply with issues at the intersection of public international law and international economic law, refining his understanding of the global financial architecture and its implications for emerging economies.
